This year Sizzle Dining is back and this time it’s bigger than ever! That means more opportunities for people across SWFL to help raise money for Blessings in a Backpack. All while helping support local businesses as well. We’re so happy to be part of the Sizzle Squad again this year and join others in the area to spread the word about this important organization and event. Volunteering at our local food pantry for the past couple of years, we have seen the need in SWFL first hand. That is why this event is so important to us. So let’s get to the important details –
What is Blessings in a Backpack?
- They are a national organization with a chapter in SWFL, serving Lee and Collier counties. They help provide food on the weekends for school-aged children across America who might otherwise go hungry.
- During the school year, every Friday afternoon, children receive kid-friendly ready-to-eat items.

How can you participate in Sizzle Dining?
It’s easy! And you get a great meal in the process. Here are the basics –
- From September 3rd to 30th participating restaurants will offer pre-fix menus. Each meal you purchase, $1 will go to Blessings in a Backpack.
- This year there are over 100 restaurants taking part. So from Babcock Ranch to Marco Island and everywhere in between you have plenty of options.
- You can choose from a 2 course lunch starting at $19 or a 3 course dinner starting at $29. New this year there are even options for a 2 course breakfast!
Wonder what kind of impact $1.00 makes? In the past 3 years Sizzle Dining has helped over 700 local children receive food over 25,000, consisting of 100,000 meals served! You are also helping to support the hospitality community in SWFL at a time when they can use our support as well.

- It might not be season in September but don’t miss out on your preferred time and day to visit your favorite restaurant. Make reservations to be sure.
- Make sure you receive the special Sizzle Dining menu when you sit down. If you happen not to – make sure to ask for one!
